Monroe(玛丽莲·梦露)绚烂而悲惨的一生。1997年，英国黛安娜王妃车祸身亡，这首歌被选为代表性的纪念歌曲，修改歌词后由埃尔顿·约翰重新演绎，推出后在英美等地大受欢迎，一周内就卖出大约约三百五十万张，成为有史以来单周销售速度最快与销售量最高的单曲唱片，从这张纪念单曲的发行量来看，不难想象当时黛安娜王妃在媒体和大众当中的影像力。
