1978 年 Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica of Ottawa 教堂为国家首都

委员会（ National Capital Commission ）和渥太华市认证为历史价值的名胜古迹。

这个天主教堂最古老 ，它建造于1839年，在1841 和 1865年，

廿年时间里不断地修饰，它是加拿大目前最辉煌的教堂之一。

照片是其中一场礼拜。由于礼拜活动不宜拍照，以下这组照片主要是有关仪式之前的场面。

抱小孩的教徒右侧面需要补光,所以略欠眼神。有玄光，镜头没有遮光罩，镜头不抗玄光。

This is the oldest church in ffice:smarttags" />Ottawa Canada. Like many historic churches,

this one stands on the ruins of another. That previous church was the first in

the Bytown area to serve both English and French-speaking parishioners.

At its founding, Notre Dame was just a poor church run by missionaries who

had visions of great things. In 1847 the church was elevated to cathedral status,

and in 1879 it became a basilica. Though its twin spires make it easy to find in

the Ottawa skyline, this landmark is most known not for what's outside,

but what's inside. Statues of the prophets by Louis-Philippe Hébert adorn

the choir stall along with John the Baptist and local favorite, Saint Patrick.
