旧金山第57届国际车展 57th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW GEARED-UP FOR THANKSGIVING WEEKEND SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- November 24, 2014 -- The Bay Area’s largest and most prestigious auto exposition, the San Francisco Chronicle 57th Annual International Auto Show presented by AutoTrader.com, is geared-up for its final five days at the Moscone Convention Center. The show, which opened last Saturday, will run through Saturday, Nov. 29 including Thanksgiving and is expected to draw large crowds during the holiday weekend. Supported by the California New Car Dealers Association, the International Auto Show features the work of 38 of the world's major manufacturers for the year 2015 and beyond. It is the only auto show in northern California that lures the dazzling high-tech displays from the world’s major manufacturers. The International Auto Show is the largest exhibition of any kind in the greater Bay Area and the second largest auto show in the western United States. In addition to offering Bay Area auto buyers and enthusiasts their first opportunity to see the new 2015 model vehicles all in one place, the Auto Show offers something for every member of the family at an affordable price. This year’s event features Ride & Drive opportunities from several manufacturers, electric, hybrid and other alternative fuel vehicles; exotic sports cars; the Academy of Art University Classic Car Collection; an electric vehicle technology display from PG&E, the San Francisco Auto Salon with tricked-out vehicles and aftermarket products plus displays from AutoTrader.com, the Ferrari Club of America, Dominator Hot Rods; a race car exhibit, an auto accessory booth area and much more. 旧金山狄更斯圣诞博览会 在舊金山牛宮（Cow Palace）會展中心舉行的2014狄更斯聖誕博览會（The Great Dickens Christmas Fair）11月22日正式開幕，到12月21日前每個周六、周日，都有仿古英國維多利亞式派對活動。 狄更斯（Charles Dickens）是英國著名文學家，其著作創造了許多獨特性格的人物，今年剛好是他200歲生日。狄更斯聖誕街會也安排了不少特別節目。 占地三英畝的室內展覽場所，仿照古倫敦畫分成多個區域和20多條街道，商店出售的首飾、男女服裝、衣裙、帽子和皮靴，沒有時尚的款式，全都是18世紀的「復古」款式。 倫敦古城還有會所、劇院、舞場、酒吧、茶館、賭場、華人洗衣店，店員也都是古裝打扮，連購票入場的觀眾都身穿200年前的懷舊款式。置身場內，彷如進入了時光隧道。 1970年開始的狄更斯聖誕街會已成為舊金山的傳統，每年的展覽都有人穿古服，扮演當年不同性格的人物，有窈窕淑女、達官貴人、販夫走卒、詩人、藝人、音樂家、警察、流氓和不同行業的人。 表演節目有歌舞、魔術雜技、詩詞朗誦、兒童樂園、花劍教授等。展覽開放日期至12月21日，每逢周六和周日上午10時至晚上7時。有關入場收費或資料可致電：800-510-1558 分機114，或上網：www.dickensfair.com 。 网上购票$25，门口购票$30，停车费$10。建议参与者也穿着英国古装进场，融为一体。

The 35th Annual San Rafael Parade of Lights and Winter Wonderland Friday and Saturday, November 28 – 29 SAN RAFAEL, CA – Fun in the snow returns to Marin the weekend of November 28 and 29 at the annual San Rafael Parade of Lights and Winter Wonderland holiday celebration. A beloved family tradition for 35 years, the Parade of Lights and Winter Wonderland features a Holiday Marketplace with unique arts and crafts, live entertainment, children’s activities, the always popular free Snow Sledding, a Tree Lighting Ceremony, and the celebrated Parade of Lights with Santa and his friends - one of the largest holiday parades in the Bay Area. This annual family-friendly, community event is free and brings together people from all over Marin County and the Bay Area. The festivities kick off at noon on Friday, November 29th when a sledding hill with over 40 tons of snow is constructed on A Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Avenue. Otheractivities for kids include inflatable jump houses, mini carnival rides andface-painting booths. The Holiday Marketplace is open from noon to 8pm (on 4th Street between B Street and Lootens Place); the Parade of Lights with Santa and Mrs. Claus begins is at 5:30pm at E and Fourth Streets and travels eastbound down Fourth Street to the City Plaza, just beyond the A Street intersection.
